It was an Amazing Night in the Virtual World at the
2021 Casa of Los Angeles Wine and Art Event!
Although the annual 5 star Gala was not able to take place this year, the very creative team at Casa Wine and Art put together a virtual event that went above and beyond to be sure that the children of Casa would be given the funds so greatly needed especially in this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The goal was to raise 100,000 and What Happened??? The event raised 200,000 !!!
The second largest annual fundraising event showcased a collaborative offering of wine tastings, culinary delights and over 170 pieces of donated art from prolific, local and emerging artists. Hosted by Ser’Darius Blain, the evening kicked off with a virtual wine tasting with Erin and Sarah Foster.
Trang Spero, a docent at LACMA provided a great deal of insight and knowledge about the 6 very special pieces donated from Shepard Fairey , Robert Standish, Ed Ruscha, Tommaso Fattovich and Wyland, all which SOLD!!
The high energy and enthusiastic auctioneer Gabriel Butu made the bidding electrifying! Overall this live streaming event was a delightful experience for all!
Thank you to everyone involved who helped to make this event happen and believing we could come together even during a serious pandemic to give back and help move forward with such important advocacy programs for the current 30,000 children under the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles County Dependency Court, making it the largest system in the nation. A Casa volunteer is often the only stable adult in these children’s lives during this time.
