Pablo Dona
UNIX Gallery is pleased to announce an upcoming exhibition of works by Pablo Dona. Dona’s sculpture and photography explore an imaginative world of miniature marvels, deeply colored by a child-like playfulness and wonder at the breadth of creative potential. In Dona’s unique world, tiny figures embark on great adventures surrounded by, to their eye, giant emblems of childhood and domestic comforts – rubber ducks, teacups, and marshmallows amongst them. Vibrant erasers in the shape of animals are assembled into menagerie bouquets, calling to the child within us. Incorporating both found objects and elements of his own creation, Dona’s work succeeds in bringing us back to our earliest memories through the dreamy narratives that his miniatures find themselves in: a new realm of possibility. The exhibition opens at the gallery on June 21.
