The San Fernando Valley Arts & Cultural Center is pleased to present a group exhibition of work by members of the Collage Artists of America. “Artists Choice!” will run from May 27th to June 14th 2015 with an opening reception Saturday May 30th from 5-7pm.

From Picasso to Hannah Hoch, Pop Art to Photoshop, we are living in the age of collage. In all walks of life, collage is used for communication, entertainment, education and more. The Collage Artists of America create a community of artists who follow this long history of creativity using any and every material available.

Established in 1988, the Collage Artists of America was founded by nine Los Angeles-area women proficient in a variety of media who sought to expand their creativity to encompass collage and assemblage. Two years later the current name of the organization was adopted and membership has grown across the United States. Many members are or have been instructors at all levels of education and exhibit widely both nationally and internationally.
