There will be a different kind of speed on display at scenic Santa Anita Park when the race track turns into the Santa Anita Carnival just in time for Memorial Day weekend fun. Bring out the entire family and enjoy a wide selection of thrilling rides, challenging midway games, delicious carnival snacks and much more. This ticket snags you an unlimited ride wristband, giving you the chance to get dizzy and make your stomach drop over and over. As an added bonus, the ponies will have a full slate of races, making this a weekend to remember!

Annual Memorial Day Flower Drop & Air Fair
May 28, 2018 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
This is a very special day at the Palm Springs Air Museum. 10 am – museum opens; Air Fair with flights all day long! Planes flying are: B-25 Pacific Princess; C-47; P-51 Mustang; P-63 King Cobra; and T-28. Rides for sale.
Kids’ activities; food vendors, including In ‘N Out Burger; Freedom Fighters’ Cafe; Heatwave Jazz Band;
1:00 PM – Our brief Memorial service is dedicated to all of our fallen comrades, who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. In their honor, we highlight the service with a flower drop of 3,000 red and white carnations from a B-25 Mitchell bomber. This is our way of saluting our fallen comrades. Visitors are welcome to pick up a flower to take home. Memorial Ceremony and Flower Drop scheduled for 1 PM. Special honoree – 102 year old B-17 Gunner

I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival at Santa Barbara Mission May 25-27, 2019
Madonnari, or street painters, transform the Santa Barbara Mission plaza using pastels on pavement to create 150 vibrant and colorful, large scale images. The I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival on May 25-27, 2019 benefits the Children’s Creative Project, a nonprofit arts education program of the Santa Barbara County Education Office. The Project serves 50,000 children in more than 100 schools with visual and performing arts workshops and performances throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
Festival hours are 10-6 daily. Admission is free.
