“Viva Italia” features the diverse artworks of 29 artists from Rome, Italy exhibiting paintings, mixed media, photography and sculpture.

Mark Brosmer: “Look Out” –
A Tour-De-Force in hyper realism, “Look Out” is a collection of oil paintings from Brosmer’s ‘Rain Drops’ series alongside his Glass Blocks paintings, detailing his seamless thematic transition through the element of reflection.

Gloria Delson Contemporary Arts, 727 South Spring Street, Los Angeles, CA is pleased to present a month–long event “Viva Italia- Evoluzione e Metamorfosi Di Arte” in collaboration with Area Contesa Arte in Rome, hosting Alfio Borghese and featuring work of 30 Italian artists. The event opens on SATURDAY Oct. 6th, with an Invitation-only VIP Reception Opening Preview from 7-10 PM to meet Mr. Borghese and the visiting artists for an evening of art, culture, music, and Italian-style refreshments, celebrating this important cultural exchange.
Additional events include the public opening during the monthly
DTLA Art Walk On Thursday October 11th, from 6-10 PM with Mr. Borghese and select Italian artists present.
The exhibit closes on Sunday October 28th with the Avocado String Trio presenting a Sounding Point Live concert performing a program of Opera favorites for small string ensemble and vocalists. Selections will be drawn from Italian dramatic and comic opera, and will include perennial favorites by Donizetti, Verdi, and Puccini (2-4 pm, Cost $20) Details at www.soundingpoint.la Following the concert, the event continues 4-6PM with a free, open to the public closing reception.
Alfio Borghese of the noble Borghese family has been acclaimed throughout Italy for over 40 years as an art critic, curator, art director, journalist, television host and philanthropist. Borghese produced several notable series of films and documentaries featuring the most important artists, writers and political figures of the twentieth century. He also writes weekly art editorials in newspapers, magazines & has recently written two books. He advocates for artists, from the most famous throughout Italian history, to today’s emerging and established artists. Committed to cultural exchanges, he has produced multiple events in collaboration with artists, galleries & museums in California & Italy, regularly hosting American artists at his home.
The artwork for this exhibit selected by Borghese ranges from traditional paintings of the last century, various still-lifes and landscapes of Italy, to contemporary avant-garde artistic expressions, including sculpture. The exhibit includes a painting of the great Italian director Fellini, well known by the painter Mario Russo, whose daughter, famous Italian actress Adriana Russo will be in attendance.
