Los Angeles

“It was an experience to remember forever truly.”

Leela James and Tank, two of the hottest talents in the world of Adult R&B joined forces last month to embark on a co-headlining tour to support their new albums that were released this year.  The Savage And The Soul Tour made its way to Los Angeles on December 6th at the world famous Belasco Theatre in Downtown LA and they delivered to a sold out crowd and brought the house down with their amazing sounds respectively.  They both brought their own unique charm, charisma, sex appeal and had the crowd singing along the entire evening.

When speaking to Tank about this specific tour he said “Leela has her soul thing and I have my savage thing. So, we’re just throwing all of our fans in one building and exposing all of them to something different. My fans are more aggressive but they’re going to get some old school soul, and then her fans, who are used to the more traditional style of R&B, they’re going to get some aggression, which I hope that they’re ready for. It’s going to be a dope give and take and I think that’s why we put it together that way.”

Give and take indeed, the crowd went along for the ride, singing the words to every song.  Tank engaged the crowd, threw roses out to all of the women and had them very excited for his show. He also joked with the crowd and gave us a sneak peek of his awesome comedy chops!

Leela brought her special funkiness to her entire performance and sang many of her own hit songs, as well as covering super hits from No Doubt and The Fugees, which had the crowd extra excited.  She then jumped behind the DJ booth and played a selection of oldies to the biggest song of 2017 “Bodak Yellow” by Cardi B and she even brought 10 lucky fans onstage, including myself, to dance and groove to her amazing DJ skills! It was an experience to remember forever truly.

Speaking to both artists after the show, they were both humble and super excited about the success of their tour which wraps this week and they’re looking forward to what they have coming up next in the new year with new releases and possibly more tour dates to be announced.

They really appreciated their fans that came out to support this tour and were both grateful for the love that they received, which is rare in this fast paced evolving world of music.  It truly was a show to remember and a successful tour filled with fun, savagery and charm!  Lastly, to get all of the latest up to date information on both Tank and Leela James, please follow their social media platforms to see what is coming up next for them in the future at @therealtank and @leelajames!
