ABOUT CREATE NOW
Create Now is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Jill Gurr in 1996. Our mission is to help youth find their voices through arts mentoring and education.

We provide seven high-quality programs in music, visual arts, fashion, writing, performing arts, digital media and cultural excursions for the “forgotten children,” those who have fallen through the cracks and are struggling to survive.

These are vulnerable kids who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, orphaned, left homeless, runaways, throwaways, teen parents, victims of domestic violence, children of prisoners, substance abusers, gang members, and/or incarcerated.

Create Now has served 37,000 of the neediest youth in Southern California since our inception 20 years ago.
