TYPE BOOKS
883 Queen Street West & 427 Spadina Road in Toronto
Called “a brilliant little chocolate box for bibliophiles” by the Globe & Mail, Type is an independent community bookstore with two Toronto locations: 883 Queen Street West (across from Trinity Bellwoods Park), and 427 Spadina Road (in Forest Hill Village).
We are a general interest bookstore, with an extensive selection of contemporary fiction, small press, art, design, and childrens’ titles. We believe in the power of the written word, and that stories are essential to building a community, which is why we frequently host events and launches for local authors and run a popular storytime program for preschoolers. We believe in the beauty of books as tactile, physical objects, and celebrate them as such. Our original window displays are widely beloved and showcase both new and classic titles.
Come to Type and find not only the book you want, but the book you didn’t even know you wanted.
