Joey Chou, Liana Hee and Jeremiah Ketner to

WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney® District on

May 24 from 11a.m. to 1p.m.

Here’s a look at what you can expect to see!

 

Joey Chou

An alumni and graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, Joey was born in Taiwan and moved with his parents and sister to the U.S. when he was 15. His art reflects influences by prominent and obscure artists as well as influences by the Southern California lifestyle and culture. When not painting or sketching, Joey enjoys independent films, surfing, video games, and traveling.

 

Liana Hee

Liana Hee is a Bay Area native currently living and working as a designer at an animaiton studio in Los Angeles, CA. Liana imbues her whimsical characters with rich colors and lovable personalities. Her favorite medium to work with is gouache on watercolor paper and she also loves finding any excuse to add sparkles and shimmer to anything she touches. She is very passionate about sharing her work with others and is constantly striving to better her craft. Liana is currently working on a few personal illustrated book projects, one of them being a little book that showcases a collection of her favorite, original mini paintings.

 

 

Jeremiah Ketner

Jeremiah Ketner’s paintings are instantly recognizable amongst his contemporaries in the pop surrealism movement. His early work, characterized by mischievous sprites and whimsical patterns, has evolved into lush, richly colored environments inhabited by a cast of pensive, dreamy young women. Each character presents a unique brand of beauty, created entirely within Jeremiah’s imagination and painted completely from memory.

Jeremiah’s pop culture-inspired style and unconventional creations have a traditional foundation. With his family’s encouragement, he began formal art studies at the age of 12. He holds a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design and an MFA from Southern Illinois University. Jeremiah’s paintings and toys have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in more than 50 galleries across North America, and he’s acquired a strong international following through his dedication to the Internet and social media.
