It’s a wonderful thing when we come together to give something greater than ourselves.
The GYA has proven to be an inspiration to the many who want to help with the growth of our youth to be successful and productive adults. The value of our youth goes far and beyond what we see today but it will show in our future. The training and confidence that is provided to each person will give back great benefits not only in the lives of these amazing young people but in our communities. GYA helps the vision we share of a brighter future and the understanding that it is the investment in our youth that will get us there.

We invite you to join us for an evening of art and culture as we raise funds to invest in our future workforce. Over 500 guests and 50 pieces of art are expected to fill the prestigious Forest Lawn Hall of The Crucifixion-Resurrection.
The opening reception will be held on March 13, 2015 from 5-9pm and wine will be available for purchase. Admission to the Art Exhibit is free and a percentage of all artwork sold will benefit the youth served through the Glendale Youth Alliance.
The Glendale Youth Alliance (GYA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a partnership between government, education, businesses and our community. Glendale community leaders established GYA in 1993 with a mission to provide jobs and employment preparedness training for low-income youth ages 14-24. GYA programs are designed to build civic values in youth, provide a foundation to learn job skills and to become productive participants of the workforce. GYA operates five programs on a spectrum that provide mentored employment to youth and has provided first time employment and training to over7,500 local youth.
GYA programs strive to empower and educate, according to each individual’s specific needs by providing resources to help youth recognize their own value and potential, giving them the tools needed for a better future.As we all know jobs change lives. A job can change the life of an adult professional and more so, the life of a young man or a woman seeking to find their place in the world to become self-sustaining.
GYA programs make special efforts in assisting youth with further barriers to employment such as foster youth, youth with disabilities, parenting youth and youth who are on probation. These groups generally have a harder time in entering the workforce. GYA not only provides employment opportunities for these youth, but comprehensive services to meet their human needs.
